Product System Compatibility

All surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and void of all contaminants.

GCR 6 Flex Coat and GCR 37 Acrylic Polyurethane

Product System Compatibility

All kits are pre-measured and shortfilled by weight. Kits yield the published coverage rates but may vary depending on application method and porosity of surface. Testing will establish coverage rates:

Packaging:

1 gallon + 1 quart activator (3 units to a shipping case)

4 gallon pail

Weight:

1 gallon (10 lbs) + 1 quart (2.4 lbs)

4 gallons (40 lbs) + 1 gallon (9.6 lbs)= 49.6 lbs

ASTM Test Results

Substrate: Santoprene Plaques 1 coat @ 1.5 DFT

Adhesion: Pass

Corrosion: ASTM D5894 = Excellent

Chemical Resistance: 100 dbl rubs; passes.

Direct Impact Resistance: ASTM D2794 = >160 in. lbs.

Dry Heat Resistance: ASTM DD2485 = 300°F

Flame Spread Rating: ASTM E84-91A

Result: Flame Index Spread – 5/Smoke Density Index – 0

Flexibility: ASTM D522 (180° bend, 1/8”mandrel)=Passes

Hardness: ASTM D3363 = HB

Mixed Viscosity: 25 – 30 seconds in #2 Zahn @ 78°F

Moisture Condensation Resistance: ASTM D4585 Result: 100°F, 180 Hours = Passes

Salt Spray: ASTM B117 (500 hours) = Excellent

Smoke Emission: ASTM E662 = Passes

Weathering: ASTM D4587 (QUV-A): 1000 hours Result = 83-85% Gloss Retention

Theoretical Coverage Rates

Spread rate is dependent on application method, substrate and anticipated level of use. Below figures are for estimation purposes only. Testing should be completed for accurate figures. Application loss factor is not covered due to surface profile, porosity, application technique, surface irregularities, spillage, climatic conditions or film build:

Substrate Sq/Ft per Gallon
Plastisol 700
Hot Melt 700
PVC 700
Vinyl 750
