Product Description

GCR 6 Flex Coat is a waterborne, quick drying urethane designed to be applied to substrates that require high flexibility. This product provides easier sanding qualities which will then provide the optimal conditions for top coats and re-coating when necessary.

GCR 6 Flex Coat offers excellent adhesion and performance in adverse application conditions.

Film Thickness: 2 to 3 wet mils

Reducer/Clean-Up: Clean, fresh water

Preparation: Wipe with alcohol

Method of Application: Airbrush, Air Assist, HVLP Sandpaper: 220 grit (only when re-coating)

Drying Schedule @ 3 mils wet – 50% RH:

Temp/Humidity Dependent 72°F / 50% 100°F / 50%
To Touch: 10 mins 5 min
To Sand: 20 mins 10
To Recoat: 1 min

Shelf Life: 12 months, unopened @ 77°F. Re-inspect after one year.

Storage: Store at 45°F-90°F. Keep from prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat. Keep closed during storage. KEEP FROM FREEZING. Product does not have a freeze/thaw cycle. Take necessary precautions for transporting and storage to keep from freezing. If product does freeze, discard according to local, state and federal regulations.

Clean Up: Clean equipment with water.

Salt Spray: ASTM B117 (500 hours) = Excellent

Smoke Emission: ASTM E662 = Passes
