Product Description

GCR 1 Floor Stripper is a ready to use floor stripper designed to reduce time and labor by quickly removing floor finishes, dirt, grime, oil, stains, tar, gums, adhesives and scuffmarks.

Product Characteristics

Appearance and Color: Clear liquid

Flash Point: Non-flammable

Diluted VOC:

8 oz GCR 1 to 1 gallon water: 25 g/l

32 oz GCR 1 to 1 gallon water: 100 g/l

Shelf Life: 18 months, unopened when properly stored. Re-inspect after 1 year.

Storage: 45°F-70°F. Keep from freezing or prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat. Keep closed during storage.

Equipment Needed: Non-shed mop, floor scrubbing machine, wet vacuum.

Physical Properties

Free Acid: Less than .50% when tested in accordance with ASTM D460.

pH Value (undiluted): 11.5

Ammonia Content: Less than 3% as NH3 by weight when tested in accordance with ASTM D 500.

Viscosity: No greater than “H” at 25°C when compared to the Gardner Bubble Viscometer Standards in accordance with ASTM D 1545.

Solubility: Completely soluble in distilled water.

Rinsing Properties: Free rinsing when tested as specified in ASTM D 3494, except use 100 ml rinses of hard water (300 ppm CaCO3 and use manufacturer’s dilution).

Floor Finish Removal Efficiency: Tested in accordance with ASTM D 1792, except pre-soak the test tiles in the diluted stripper for 15 minutes immediately prior to scrubbing.
